Sean ‘Doctor’ Millar, a composer/performer/producer from Dublin began his career as lead singer and main songwriter in the cute hoors, but following their split in 1992, Millar went solo. In 1996 he was nominated solo performer of the year at the Heineken Hot Press Music Critics Awards and his debut album The Bitter Lie, released 1995 was voted one of the Best Irish Albums of all time by both Today FM and The Sunday Tribune. In 1998 Millar released his second album The Deal and it was four years later in 2002 that he released his third album Always Coming Home. Millar’s theatre show Silver Stars, a project for the Bealtaine Festival in 2008 and Dublin Theatre Festival in 2009, also in 2010 ran for 2 weeks in New York at the public theatre and for a limited time in both Paris and Finland that same year. During this time also Millar released his latest album Of The People. Millar who has toured Ireland, Europe, Canada and the US and performed on countless TV and radio shows both in Ireland and abroad, presents The Hot Press Hot Spot weekly on East Coast FM, Bray, Co Wicklow.
