Avatar is a ten piece instrumental reggae/jazz group from Ireland. Founded by Jah bass and Tony O’Flaherty, they released their first album Summa Iru in 2005 and their follow up album Like River To Ocean in 2009.

Avatar have also released a beautifully shot and evocative music video by acclaimed Irish film maker Shaun O’Connor and have embarked on many other collaborations with a variety of international artists such as Ricky Grant, The Senior Allstars, Drummie Dan and Brigadier JC.

Avatar are currently working on their new album, which they plan to release in 2012.
