Jape is an electronic rock band from Dublin, formed by Richie Egan.

Their debut album Cosmophere was released in 2003 and their second album The Monkeys in the Zoo Have More Fun Than Me was released the following year, featuring the well-known single Floating.

In 2007 Jape released the EP Jape is Grape and in 2008 they released their third album Ritual, which entered the album chart at number 15 and won the Choice Music Prize of Irish Album of the Year.

The band has performed at many noted festivals and events, including Glastonbury and Electric Picnic.
