God is an Astronaut is an Irish band from Wicklow, Ireland who formed in 2002.

They released their debut album The End of the Beginning that same year and their second album All Is Violent and Bright was released three years later in 2005.

The band released an EP A Moment of Stillness in 2006 and their third album Far From Reform Refuge in 2007. Their fourth self titled album God is an Astronaut was released in 2008 and their fifth album Age of the Fifth Sun was released in 2010.

God is an Astronaut’s have performed to sold out shows throughout Europe and the US and their unique live performance combines a mixture of self-edited video footage and lighting arrangements with live music so that each song is accompanied by its own video.
