Balkan Beat Box emerged from New York City’s underground music scene in 2005, releasing the self titled debut album Balkan Beat Box.

Founded by ex-Gogol Bordello member Ori Kaplan and Tamir Muskat of Firewater, the band built up a reputation and soon added Tomer Yosef as their front man.

In 2007 they released the album Nu Med, which all three co-wrote and in 2010, Balkan Beat Box released their new album Blue Eyed Black Boy. The album recorded in Belgrade and Tel Aviv contained all new material, including the singles War Again and Move It.
